Landana 500 day aged Gouda

Matured for 500 days in traditional, historic warehouses in Woerden; where the unique microclimate is controlled to create a distinctive, consistent flavour. Located right next to the Old Rhine River, temperature and humidity are controlled naturally by opening and closing different shutters in the building to allow air to flow in from the river. During the long maturation period Landana loses up to 25% of its weight, resulting in a dense, sweet cheese with dry, slightly crystalline texture and a rich caramel colour. Ingredients: Pasteurised cow’s milk, salt & traditional rennet.
