Kelly Washington Sauvignon Blanc
Style – Dry, White, Medium Bodied
Grapes – Sauvignon Blanc
Region – Marlborough, New Zealand
Winemaking - Coming from an elevated hillside site in the Southern Valleys region of Marlborough our Sauvignon Blanc is textured, structured, and a style that is markedly atypical of the region. The vineyard is unique for Marlborough, positioned high up from the valley floor, and is farmed Organically and Bio-dynamically on clay-loess soils. The vines are closely planted, so the bunches are small and skins thick. Roughly 30% of the wine has been fermented and aged in old barrels, all by naturally occurring yeasts.
What it tastes like - Not your average Kiwi Sauvignon Blanc with wet stone and struck flint leading the charge closely followed by grapefruit and sweet spices. The linear acidity cuts through this medium-bodied Sauvignon Blanc finishing with good fruit concentration and a long length.
Dietary – Vegan, Biodynamic
ABV – 12.5%
